Never give up giving up
Quit’s first positive anti-smoking campaign urges smokers to Never give up giving up.
The aim of the campaign is to motivate and inspire smokers to have another go at quitting today, by reframing past failures as success. The campaign emphasises that quitting can be hard, but each time you try you learn something along the way, and with persistence and vigilance you can quit for good.
The campaign will air statewide in Tasmania from April 29, 2012.
Want to Quit Smoking?
An important part of any quit attempt is access to information and support. This is available through the Quitline telephone support service or by talking to your GP or Pharmacist.
The Quitline is a confidential and non-judgmental service run by specially-trained people. Quitline advisors know how hard it can be for smokers to quit for good, and that it can take several attempts. They can provide information on any aspect of giving up smoking. The Quitline can send free self-help materials and offers a free telephone call-back support service to help smokers through the quitting process.
