Smoke Free Areas – The Law
Take a smoke-free tour of Tasmania – From 1 March 2012, additional smoke-free areas will be introduced in Tasmania. Aimed at reducing exposure to harmful second-hand cigarette smoke, they cover places where people – especially children – gather. Smoke-free areas now cover bus and pedestrian malls, bus shelters, outdoor dining areas, sports venues, beaches, public swimming pools and children’s playgrounds.
