Quitline
The Quitline is a confidential telephone service that provides information, support and advice to people on quitting smoking.
For the cost of a local call, you can speak to one of our friendly professional advisors who are there to help you.
When you call the Quitline you can ask for a free Quit Pack to be sent to you. This service is available 24 hours a day. Or you can ask to speak to a trained advisor. Quitline advisors have had lots of experience in helping people to quit and in Tasmania are available from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. This service is extended during campaign periods.
You can call even if you are just thinking about quitting and not quite ready to have a go yet. Chatting with an advisor can help you to feel confident that when you are ready to quit smoking you will know what to do and that help is available.
Advisors can help you work out how you can be of support to someone you care about who smokes. They can send you some useful information.
Quitline advisors have helped many people to quit. Why not give them a call to see if they can help you.
