‘Don’t Let It In’

The Don’t Let It In campaignwas developed by Drug and Alcohol Services in SA and focuses on the hidden health effects of smoking to the inside of a persons body, such as blood clots, hardening of the arteries, lung disease and emphysema. The things you can’t see can have a detrimental affect to health in the future if a person continues to smoke.

Quitting smoking is one of the best things a person can do for their health and quality of life.

While not a new ad, Don’t Let It In was last aired in Tasmania about 2 years ago with good results that it was worth running again.

Support for people to quit smoking

The campaign acknowledges that quitting can be hard, and that there is help available through the Tasmanian Quitline – 13 7848, which is a free telephone information and support service that has been helping Tasmanians to quit smoking since 1995. It is a one-stop shop of all the best tips to support people to quit.
